YouTube on TriBathon (Beta): Memberships & SuperChats
YouTube is now on TriBathon in open beta: it adds time for channel memberships and for the 9 fixed SuperChat/SuperSticker tiers. How to connect it and why your feedback earns a free premium month.
YouTube arrives on TriBathon — in open beta
If you've been waiting for YouTube on your subathon timer, you can connect it now. We add time for channel memberships and for SuperChats/SuperStickers, with the same configuration logic you already know from Twitch and Kick: you decide how many seconds each event adds.
We're launching it as an open beta on purpose. YouTube exposes its live chat quite differently from Twitch or Kick — it uses a streaming protocol (gRPC) instead of simple webhooks — and while we've tested it thoroughly, we'd rather have the real community use it before calling it "100% stable."
🧪 It's beta: there may be bugs
The YouTube integration is live and adds real time, but it's the newest of all our integrations. If something doesn't count right or the chat won't connect as expected, tell us on our Discord. Reporting a real bug earns you 1 free premium month.
What adds time today
The integration covers the two most common revenue types on a YouTube channel:
Channel memberships (dynamic tiers)
If your channel has memberships enabled, TriBathon reads your real levels (the ones you created in YouTube Studio: Fan, VIP, Legend, or whatever names you chose) and lets you configure how many seconds each one adds separately. We cover:
- New member: adds the time for the tier they joined.
- Monthly renewal (milestone): every paid month adds time again — it's not a "free" event for the viewer, it's a membership renewing.
- Gifted memberships: time is multiplied by the number of gifted memberships (gifting 5 adds 5× the tier's time).
If a viewer's level display name changes or you rename a tier in YouTube Studio, TriBathon still recognizes it — the time is tied to YouTube's actual level, not the display text.
SuperChats and SuperStickers (9 fixed tiers)
YouTube classifies every SuperChat and SuperSticker into one of 9 fixed tiers based on the amount paid — roughly from $1 to $500, using the same criteria for every channel worldwide. Instead of inventing our own conversion table (which would have to handle dozens of different currencies), TriBathon uses those same 9 tiers YouTube already calculates.
You configure how many seconds each tier adds. SuperStickers share the same configuration as SuperChats by default, though you can separate them if you want to treat them differently.
How to connect your YouTube channel
- Open the TriBathon dashboard and click Connect on the YouTube card.
- You'll see a notice explaining the integration is in beta, with a link to our Discord in case you hit any issue.
- Authorize with your Google account — TriBathon requests read-only access to your channel and memberships, never permission to post or change anything.
- In Settings → YouTube, click "Sync tiers" to pull your channel's real membership levels.
- Configure seconds per membership and per SuperChat/SuperSticker tier.
🔁 Already had YouTube connected before?
This beta adds a new permission (reading your membership levels) that older connections don't have. Reconnect your YouTube account from the dashboard so tier syncing works.
How the live chat connects
Unlike Twitch (which notifies automatically when you go live), YouTube doesn't always reliably notify when a stream starts. We tried it with YouTube's official push notifications, and in practice the notice doesn't always arrive in time.
That's why the main path today is manual and very fast: when you start your YouTube stream, go back to the TriBathon dashboard and click "Connect chat". One click, and TriBathon starts listening to your chat in real time — no polling, no delay — until you end the stream.
If your stream ends abruptly and TriBathon stays "connected" by mistake, there's also a "Disconnect chat" button to release it manually.
Your whole ecosystem, one timer
The whole point of TriBathon is not having to pick a single platform. You can have Twitch, Kick, StreamElements, Streamlabs, and now YouTube connected at the same time, and every event from every platform adds to the same timer and lands in the same analytics history. If your subathon community is spread across several platforms — or if you simulcast to YouTube alongside your main channel — you don't need to add up what each one earned by hand: TriBathon reconciles it all in one place.
Help us make it better
If you stream on YouTube and try the integration, your feedback is extremely valuable at this stage. Report any bug on our Discord — if it's a real bug, we'll give you 1 free premium month as a thank you.
