Subathon Milestones: Full Guide for Streamers
Discover how to use milestones to maximize engagement and motivation in your subathon. Available types, step-by-step configuration, and proven strategies.
Milestones (Goals) are one of the most powerful features of TriBathon Premium. They allow you to create visual goals that motivate your community and increase engagement during your subathon.
🎯 Why use Milestones?
- +35% more subs: Viewers are motivated by seeing progress toward goals
- Constant Engagement: The community celebrates every milestone reached
- Transparency: Shows real-time progress
What are Milestones?
Milestones are configurable numerical goals that complete automatically when you reach a certain amount of events (subs, bits, kicks, etc.).
For example: "100 Total Subscriptions", "50,000 Bits Donated", "500 Subs on Kick".
Real Example: How They Work
Imagine you create a "200 Total Subs" milestone:
- 1. You create the milestone with the title "200 SUBS! 🎉", description "We'll unlock an extra 24h", goal: 200
- 2. You show it in OBS with the customizable widget (your community sees: "142/200 subs - 71%")
- 3. Events come in: Every sub that arrives automatically updates the counter
- 4. It completes itself: Upon reaching 200, the milestone changes to "COMPLETED ✅" with animation
5 Milestone Types Available in TriBathon
1. TOTAL_SUBS (Total Subscriptions)
Counts all subscriptions from all platforms (Twitch + Kick).
Ideal for: Multi-platform communities that want to unify goals.
2. PLATFORM_SUBS (Subscribers by Platform)
Counts subs from a specific platform (Twitch only OR Kick only).
Ideal for: Incentivizing growth on a particular platform.
3. TOTAL_BITS (Total Bits - Twitch)
Counts the accumulated sum of bits donated on Twitch.
Ideal for: Streamers who have high participation with bits/cheers.
4. TOTAL_KICKS (Total Kicks - Kick)
Counts the accumulated sum of kicks donated on Kick.
Ideal for: Kick streamers who want to highlight this unique metric.
5. BITS_KICKS (Combined Bits + Kicks)
Combines Twitch bits + Kick kicks into a single milestone.
Ideal for: Dual-platform streamers who want to unify donations.
How Milestones are Calculated
⚠️ Important: Start Date
Milestones only count events since the date the milestone was created, not previous events.
If you create a "100 subs" milestone on day 3 of your subathon, TriBathon will count subs from that moment on, not the 50 subs you already had from days 1-2.
This is intentional so you can:
- ✅ Create progressive milestones during the subathon
- ✅ Adjust goals according to how the event is going
- ✅ Maintain transparency (the counter always starts at 0)

Proven Milestone Strategies
1. Emotional Escalation
Don't make all milestones the same "weight." Create a progression:
- 🥉 Milestone 1: 50 subs (warm-up)
- 🥈 Milestone 2: 150 subs (momentum)
- 🥇 Milestone 3: 300 subs (peak hype)
- 💎 Milestone 4: 500 subs (epic finale)
2. Milestones Every 2-3 Hours
Calculate how many subs/bits you receive per hour and adjust so there's a milestone completing every 2-3 hours. This keeps engagement constant.
3. Community Milestones
Not all milestones should be "I unlock X." Try:
- 🎁 "100 subs = 10 gifted subs giveaway"
- 🎮 "50k bits = Community chooses next game"
- 🍕 "200 subs = Pizza party for mods"
Common Mistakes to Avoid
❌ Milestone Too High
If you set "1000 subs" and only have 100 average viewers, the milestone will never complete and it's demotivating.
Solution: Start conservative (50-100 subs) and adjust according to momentum.
❌ Too Many Active Milestones
Having 10 simultaneous milestones confuses the audience. Stick to 3-5 maximum.
Calculation: How Many Milestones to Expect?
Use this quick formula to estimate:
Possible Milestones = (Subs per hour × Subathon hours) / Milestone goal
Example: 10 subs/hour × 72 hours = 720 total subs
If your milestone is "100 subs" → 720 / 100 = 7 completable milestones
Conclusion: Milestones = Engagement + Virality
Milestones transform your subathon from a "passive counter" into an "interactive experience" where the community actively participates to unlock rewards.
Streamers who use Milestones correctly report:
- ✅ +35% more subs during the subathon
- ✅ Higher viewer retention (sustained engagement)
- ✅ More viral clips ("JUST HIT THE MILESTONE LIVE!")
